kyapo people

quiapo people are frustrating.
left the house soon after lunch and made my way to quiapo via the lrt. carriedo station of lrt is connected to isetann department store. the sun was angrily staring at manila so i thought to stay for a while at the store's food court. Actually there was this one food stall that sold overpriced carinderia food. i was stuffed so i told the stupid girl at the counter that i wanted sago't gulaman worth Php 28.00. i showed her my 500 peso bill. she shook her head, wala daw silang barya. told her i had nothing except that and a 20 peso bill. i walked towards the table and started to rummage through my bag. i found another Php 20 peso bill. shew gave me my drink and seemed to have forgotten that i was entitled to a 12 peso change.
miss, sukli ko.
ay, mamaya nalang.
o sige, hatid mo nalang sa akin, dyan lang naman ako naka-upo, isaid, pointing at a nearby table.
ay, tawagin ko nalang po kauo.
bakit, alam mo pangalan ko? and briskly walked towards my table.
15 minutes have passed and no hint of them doing something about my change. they were actually waiting for customers to arrive and produce that darn change. poocha, were they expecting me to sit in that dingy food court until they produced 12 pesos coins?
her nametag says her name was lovely. from the top of my lungs: LOVELY, KAILAN KO MAKUKUHA SUKLI KO? that the time her co-stupid counter girl took off her hairnet and left the stall to look for change.
poocha, ang gago naman, nakatali pala oras ko sa kanila. so i was not supposed to leave until they thought it was time for me to get my change??
lovely's co-worker finally arrived.
ma'am, dito na po sukli niyo. walked towards the counter and took the coins.
hanep.
i went back to my seat, tipped the plastic cup of gulaman and spilled green and red cubes of cheap chinese jell-o all over the table, and left the food court.
